Job Details
Technician, Public Transport Information:
We are looking for a motivated and detail focused Public Transport Technician to support the management and delivery of accurate bus service information across Fife.
In this role, you will maintain and update service, timetable, route and bus stop data, primarily using the navIQuate Novus FX platform to ensure passengers receive clear, reliable and accessible information across digital, printed and real time passenger information (RTPI) channels. You will act as a custodian for Fife’s NaPTAN data set, carrying out audits, validation checks and data cleansing to keep information accurate and compliant with national standards.
You will support the continued running of Fife’s real-time information systems, contribute to the development of data feeds, and help ensure service changes, roadworks and diversions are communicated effectively to all stakeholders. Working closely with bus operators, internal teams, system suppliers and external partners, you will help resolve data issues and improve information quality.
The role also involves responding professionally to public enquiries, supporting policy and process improvements, and contributing to smarter, more integrated passenger information across the network.
