We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our consulting group based in Tucson, AZ. The position is with our vibrating wire piezometer installation team doing the following:

  • Travel to mine sites and work with drill crews to install specialty geotechnical and hydrogeology instruments in drill holes including vibrating-wire piezometers and TDR cable at various sites mostly in Arizona and in the western US
  • Set up data loggers, collect and process data
  • Prepare technical documentation and reporting of field and analysis work

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Background working with tools and machinery in a mining, engineering, construction, mechanical, or a related field
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency in Excel including ability to modify worksheets, modify formulas, and create charts
  • Comfortable in working with a wide variety of hand and battery powered tools
  • Good communications skills (oral and written)
  • A natural problem solver with an engineering mindset
  • Team player
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a Department of Transport medical examination
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Willing to work day- or night-shift as needed
  • All candidates must legally be authorized to work in the USA

Preferred

  • Undergraduate studies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field
  • Work truck and light trailer driving experience
  • Mining experience
  • Engineering field experience

Additional Information

Starting Pay

$25–$30 per hour, depending on prior experience and education.
