Job Description

As a Technical Writer for Nokia you will be an integral part of our NSP Documentation Team, based in Bangalore. Your primary role is to develop clear and concise technical content, including user guides, developer documentation, and in-product help, to support our cutting-edge network management solutions. You will work closely with our global R&D teams in an Agile environment, you will manage multiple projects and ensure that our product documentation enhances the user experience and aligns with our company's high standards.

• Develop accurate, topic-based documentation including user guides, developer guides, API documentation, installation manuals, release notes, and troubleshooting content.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, Product Management, and UX teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle to ensure documentation aligns with evolving product features and customer needs.
• Research and analyze complex networking and network management technologies to gather and validate technical information.
• Use AI-powered writing and productivity tools to accelerate content creation, improve consistency, simplify complex concepts, and optimize documentation workflows.
• Leverage generative AI tools for content drafting, summarization, terminology standardization, metadata generation, localization support, and documentation quality improvements while ensuring technical accuracy and editorial standards.
• Maintain and revise documentation based on feature updates, usability feedback, analytics, and customer support insights.
• Ensure content quality, consistency, accessibility, and compliance with company documentation standards and style guidelines.
• Use XML authoring tools, Markdown, and Git to manage modular documentation efficiently in a docs-as-code environment.
• Track and manage documentation deliverables using Jira and collaborate across teams using Confluence.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve documentation processes, self-service support experiences, and AI-enabled content strategies.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical writing, with a proven track record in topic-based and structured authoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in XML authoring tools and Markdown, enabling efficient content creation and formatting.
• Hands-on experience with Git in a Docs-as-code environment, ensuring effective collaboration and documentation management.
• Experience using AI-assisted writing, editing, research, or documentation tools in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and a history of successful collaboration within scrum teams.
• Strong research and analytical skills to gather, validate, and present technical information accurately.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for project management and content collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Familiarity with the telecommunications or network management domain is an asset, providing valuable industry insights.
• Ability to write engaging video scripts and develop interactive in-product help, enhancing user engagement.
• Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript is desirable, enabling efficient content creation and customization.
