As a member of theF5 Documentation team, your focuswill beondeveloping andmaintainingdocumentation forthe F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform.

Technical Writers at F5 are responsible for designing, developing, publishing, and maintaining technicalcontent that supports customers in the use of F5 products and services. We partner with Product Managers, Engineers, User Experience Designers, and other stakeholders to build a deep understanding of the customers’ needs andtoadvocate for them in design and development discussions. Technical Writersare uniquely positioned to see the big picture and connect the dots between features, to tell a complete story about how and whyto usea product.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical documentation projects from design to release ready, working with stakeholders toidentify, scope, and prioritize deliverables and releasetimeframes

• Leverage cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs, defineproblems,and ensure document development aligns with businessobjectivesand priorities.

• Collaborate with the Product team to gather requirements and provide input on user interface design, user experience, and documentation integration.

• Partner with Engineering, Product, UXDesign, Quality Assurance, Customer Success, etc. to create content to support F5 products.

• Organize andfacilitatethecontent review process. Review and edit technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to style guidelines, ensuring that content meets quality standards and requirements.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in technical writing principles, methodologies, and tools, advising on best practices and standards.

• Use git to manage source code, as well as to giveand receivepeercode reviews.

• Participate inteamefforts like style guidedevelopment,content strategy, &contentaudits

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for someone who is confident in their ability to work independently. Your communication skills are commendable. Youcandistill extremely technical concepts into documentation that isengaging, empathetic, andeasy to understand.

You're a great collaborator who is comfortable working in diverse, geographically distributed teams. You have excellent teamwork skills, including a desire to help others grow their own abilities. You enjoy learning new things and are an avid information gatherer.

In addition, we're looking for a few key technical requirements that will help you excel:

• experience with Linux systems and the command-lineinterface;

• experience with container technologies using Docker andKubernetes; application deliverynetworking and related concepts;and/or service provider networking;

• understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTTP, REST, JSON); and

• experience with cloud technologies -- both public and private -- such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMware vSphere.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Technical Communications, Writing, English, or a related area -- or -- equivalent experience

• At least three years’ technical writing experience

The annual base pay for this position is: $81,600.00 - $122,400.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
