Technical Writer

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

• Producing accurate, high-quality documentation aligned with project timelines and standards.
• Researching, analyzing, and interpreting technical and business requirements.
• Working directly with applications to understand functionality and user needs.
• Collaborating with developers, product teams, and SMEs to gather and validate content.
• Creating and maintaining documentation such as user guides, configuration content, and contextual help.
• Following structured authoring practices and established editorial standards.
• Ensuring content is clear, concise, and avoids redundancy.
• Participating in the full documentation lifecycle (drafting, review, editing, publishing).
• Managing multiple tasks and priorities aligned with development timelines.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in technical writing, information development, or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
• Experience working with or willingness to learn structured authoring tools (e.g., DITA/XML, CMS).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CCMS tools (e.g., Ixiasoft or similar).
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Background in enterprise software or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with structured content approaches (e.g., topic-based writing / DITA).
