Step into the role

At MilDef, we design and deliver robust IT solutions for the most demanding environments. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to create assembly instructions, manuals, and guides that contribute to efficient manufacturing and satisfied customers. Your work will ensure traceability, compliance, and alignment across functions, supporting MilDef’s long-term growth journey within the defense and security sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals, assembly instructions, and other technical documents aligned with product specifications and company standards.

• Ensure documentation integrity through strict version control and compliance with MilDef’s formatting guidelines.

• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and product teams to gather technical inputs and ensure content accuracy and usability.

• Contribute to design reviews with feedback that improves clarity and user experience of documentation.

• Support production teams and customers with timely documentation updates that reflect current product configurations.

• Create modular, scalable content using structured authoring tools and templates (e.g., XML, DITA).

• Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes, tools, and standards to increase efficiency and quality.

What you bring

• 3-5 years’ experience in creating technical documentation for hardware or electronic systems, with end-to-end ownership of document development.

• A bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, YH, or related field – or equivalent professional experience.

• Hands-on experience in XML-based technical writing, structured authoring, and modular content management.

• Familiarity with CAD software to produce exploded views and illustrations for manuals and instructions.

• Strong ability to write and communicate effectively in both Swedish and English.

It is considered a merit if you have

• Experience from defense, aerospace, or critical infrastructure industries, and knowledge of compliance and standards.

• Certifications in technical documentation tools or standards (e.g., DITA).
