Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Whitepaper Writer to join our team. This role will focus on creating in-depth, technical documents that explain complex technologies, products, and services to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating intricate technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & Content Development Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand the technical details and strategic goals of products or services.
  • Technical Writing Write, edit, and proofread whitepapers, technical case studies, solution briefs, and technical articles that articulate technology concepts, industry trends, and product features effectively.
  • Audience Targeting Develop content that is tailored to both technical audiences (developers, engineers) and business stakeholders (executives, decision-makers).
  • Industry Awareness Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor content, and emerging technologies to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
  • Document Structure & Design Use layout and design best practices to present complex information clearly; work with graphic designers when necessary to include visuals such as infographics, flowcharts, and diagrams.
  • Content Strategy Contribute to content strategy by identifying content gaps, suggesting new whitepaper topics, and aligning with the overall marketing and sales strategy.
  • Quality Assurance Ensure all content is free from errors, adheres to company style and branding, and meets high standards of quality.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on technology content.
  • Proficiency in writing technical content, including whitepapers, solution briefs, and case studies.
  • Strong understanding of IT concepts such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, AI/ML, and networking.
  • Ability to translate technical language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Research and analytical skills to gather relevant information from various sources and organize it coherently.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and tools such as MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, or Markdown.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with graphic design or the ability to create basic visual aids.
  • Experience in SEO for technical content.
  • Background in a technical field or familiarity with software development practices.
