Your role:

Job Objective:

  • The Technical Transfer Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating assigned new product transfer, localization, product evaluation for Wuxi site and selected cross-site initiatives.
  • The role will support business-driven technical opportunity assessment by translating business needs into structured site inputs, coordinating cross-functional feasibility reviews, and driving selected projects through collaboration with Technical, Production, QC, EHS, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Commercial, and relevant global stakeholders.
  • This position will help strengthen Wuxi site technical transfer capability, improve project pipeline visibility, and support data-based assessment and decision making for future business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

Technical Transfer & Project Execution

  • Lead or coordinate assigned technical transfer, localization, repacking, product evaluation, and process improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, action trackers, risk logs, and decision records.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution with Technical, Production, QC, EHS, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, and other related functions.
  • Track progress, identify key risks and bottlenecks, and escalate decision needs in a timely and structured manner.
  • Ensure execution follows company QMS, EHS, compliance, and site governance requirements.

Structured Assessment for Business-driven Requests

  • Support clarification and structuring of business-driven technical requests related to new product transfer, localization, repacking, local manufacturing, OEM alternative assessment, and product evaluation.
  • Help define assessment inputs, including target product scope, expected volume, timeline, business driver, technical requirements, site capability fit, and implementation assumptions.
  • Coordinate site functions to conduct preliminary feasibility assessments based on technical feasibility, QC capability, production readiness, EHS/regulatory impact, investment need, and resource requirement.
  • Support preparation of high-level assessment summaries and recommendations for management review.

Project Pipeline, Data-based Assessment & Portfolio Visibili

  • Maintain project pipeline visibility and portfolio dashboard for assigned technical transfer and localization opportunities, including status, key risks, resource needs, business relevance, and decision points.
  • Use data analysis and structured problem-solving methods to support opportunity screening, feasibility assessment, project prioritization, and management-level summaries.
  • Support prioritization of assigned opportunities based on business relevance, site capability fit, implementation feasibility, resource availability, and risk level.
  • Help convert ambiguous requests into structured problem statements, assessment templates, and executable project plans.

Site Capability & Continuous Improvement Support

  • Help identify capability gaps in technical transfer execution, QC readiness, production feasibility, documentation, EHS/regulatory readiness, and project management.
  • Support continuous improvement of technical transfer processes, templates, review mechanisms, and project governance.
  • Contribute to Wuxi site capability development for future transfer, localization, and business-driven opportunities.
  • Support knowledge transfer and best-practice sharing across relevant site functions and assigned projects.

Cross-functional Leadership & Global Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional alignment for assigned projects by influencing stakeholders across Technical, QC, Production, EHS, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial, Engineering, and global teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Support project-related communication with global sending sites, global product teams, R&D, technical SMEs, and value chain stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical documentation collection, feasibility discussions, sample/trial preparation, transfer readiness reviews, and project follow-up.
  • Help align project expectations with Wuxi site capability, resource availability, EHS/regulatory requirements, and implementation constraints.
  • Support assigned cross-site coordination when required by project scope and line manager.

Other Responsibilities

  • Complete other tasks assigned by line manager.
  • Meet company QMS, EHS, data integrity, and compliance requirements.
  • Support a safe, compliant, collaborative, and continuous improvement-oriented working environment.


Who you are:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical transfer, project management, manufacturing, QC, product evaluation, localization, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing site, technical, quality, production, or cross-functional project environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, timeline control, risk tracking, action follow-up, documentation, and escalation.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills across technical, site, business, and global teams.
  • Ability to translate business or project needs into structured technical assessment and executable project plans.
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese; ability to work in a matrix organization and manage ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in life science, specialty chemicals, analytical products, laboratory products, bioprocess, or related industries.
  • Experience with product transfer, localization, repacking, OEM evaluation, new product introduction, or process improvement.
  • Familiarity with QC testing, production process, EHS/regulatory requirements, quality systems, or site project execution.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders, overseas sending sites, R&D, or technical SMEs.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience in product management, commercial operations, or business-facing technical roles is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, dashboarding, portfolio tracking, or digital tools such as Tableau, Foundry, Power BI, or equivalent is a plus
