Job Description

About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.

The Opportunity

In your new role, you will coordinate technical training programs end to end, ensuring trainers, participants, venues, systems and communications are aligned for smooth delivery across the business.

The role supports compliance, onboarding, technical development and authorisation training, and requires strong coordination across multiple programs, stakeholders and systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a coordination and project management background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about training and learning outcomes. The role offers flexibility to work from any Transgrid depot, with a preference for Eastern Creek or Newcastle.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a proactive coordinator with strong project management capability, excellent organisation skills and a genuine interest in training and development.

  • Experience in a coordination-focused role such as project coordination, executive support or team support, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong end-to-end coordination skills across scheduling, bookings, communications, enrolments and training logistics.
  • A project mindset, with the ability to manage several training programs at once and identify process improvements.
  • Confident using tools such as Excel, Outlook and training or scheduling systems.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the initiative to contribute ideas and build strong stakeholder relationships.

About Transgrid

We’ve ensured the smooth operation of over 11,517 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 136 substations and switching stations across NSW and the ACT, with interconnections to QLD and VIC.

Our most crucial work is leading the transition to Australia’s clean energy future. The traditional coal system that served our country for decades is nearing the end of its life, to be replaced by wind and solar generation.

We’re making the right decisions now to prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead – a changing climate, population growth and technology innovation.

As we lead the way towards a more resilient future, we’re working closely with our customers and communities to make sure no one is left behind.

Wherever you are in NSW or the ACT, you can be confident in the reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity we transmit as we make a better power system for generations to come.
