Job Description

As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible to develop and deliver technical and operator training for our container handling cranes. Cooperation with internal departments, suppliers, other Liebherr factories within the division and group, and mixed sales companies is essential.

Key Elements of the Role

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver technical training courses to customers (internally and externally), on customer premises globally, online, and inhouse at Liebherr.
  • Develop training courses and material, as well as ‘on-demand’ courses, to meet customer needs.
  • Evaluate and modernise existing training courses and material.
  • Investigate and develop tools and packages to deliver training.
  • Liaise with customers, to plan and execute training courses.
  • Coordinate and supervise customers during visits to LCC.
  • Liaise with internal departments to develop and maintain knowledge of products and gather content, keeping up to date on new developments.
  • Promote and market Liebherr brand, products, and services.
  • Establish new and develop existing relationships with customers.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships, locally within the company and globally within the Maritime division and Liebherr group of companies.
  • Cooperate internally and coordinate with external departments for purpose of continuous improvement and development.
  • Evaluate and monitor competition.
  • Develop reports and KPI from available data.
  • Maintain a customer focused approach.
  • Ensure quality, environmental and Health & Safety standards are always maintained.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Quality Management.

Qualifications Requirements and Experience

Minimum

  • A third level qualification or apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Practical experience of troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
  • Proficient IT skills, with a good working knowledge of MS Office, incl. Power Point.
  • Willingness to travel and work at height.

  • Experience as a trainer an advantage.
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical content clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Intercultural competence and enjoyment working with people worldwide.
  • Strong team player with reliability and an independent working style.
  • High willingness to travel, including internationally.
