ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking a Technical Trainer to support enterprise technology platforms and services. The Technical Trainer will develop and deliver technical training, instructional materials, and user guidance to help program areas effectively utilize the Marketplace for Data Analytics (MDA) and Scientific Computing (SciComp) High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
Responsibilities
• Assist program areas in learning the functionality, application, and effective utilization of Marketplace for Data Analytics (MDA) services.
• Develop instructional materials, user guides, job aids, and other documentation for accessing and utilizing the Scientific Computing (SciComp) High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate virtual technical training programs, including brown-bag sessions, workshops, collaboration sessions, and other learning activities.
• Assess technical training requirements and evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs.
• Collaborate with customers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design training programs, develop course materials, establish training schedules, and deliver technical instruction.
• Facilitate workgroups and meetings focused on instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery.
• Partner with SMEs and Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) to develop instructional materials and curricula for both online and instructor-led training.
• Support other trainers in developing and implementing technical training across virtual learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Coordinate training logistics, schedules, participant communications, materials, and other training-related activities as required.
• Maintain and update technical training materials as systems, processes, and technologies evolve.
• Gather participant feedback and training metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4–6 years of technical training experience supporting enterprise technology platforms, technical support operations, stakeholder coordination, and user-facing technical documentation.
• Strong technical training, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Experience developing technical training materials, user guides, job aids, and instructional documentation.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable content for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Experience conducting both virtual and instructor-led training.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with technical SMEs, instructional designers, customers, and end users.
• Familiarity with virtual collaboration platforms and Learning Management Systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple training activities and priorities.
• Ability to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness.
• The successful candidate will be subject to a U.S. Federal Government background investigation and must be able to meet the requirements necessary to hold a Public Trust position.
Desired Skills
• Previous U.S. Federal Government experience, either as a federal employee or government contractor.
• Experience developing training plans and instructional materials for cloud-based technology offerings, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with data analytics platforms, scientific computing environments, or High-Performance Computing (HPC) is preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology modernization or cloud adoption initiatives is a plus.
