The Technical Systems Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs related to assigned business applications and operational processes. This role partners with business stakeholders, operational leaders, and system support teams to drive user adoption, improve software proficiency, and support organizational change initiatives. The trainer serves as a key resource for onboarding, continuous learning, process education, and end-user support while helping ensure consistent system utilization and operational best practices across the organization.

Work Location: This is a US-Based Fully Remote role with roughly 70% business travel required.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000. The posted salary range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations. Not all candidates will be hired at the top of the posted range. The posted range reflects base salary only and does not include any applicable bonuses, commissions, overtime, or the value of employee benefits. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefit programs, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training programs for business software systems and operational processes, including onboarding, refresher training, workshops, demonstrations, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and system support teams to identify training needs, support organizational change initiatives, and ensure alignment with company workflows, standards, and software functionality.
  • Create, maintain, and update training materials and documentation including presentations, user guides, process documentation, job aids, videos, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support software rollouts, upgrades, and implementation initiatives through training, communication planning, and end-user adoption efforts.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, reporting, and user performance trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide Tier II user support by assisting employees with software-related questions, troubleshooting guidance, and process clarification.
  • Maintain training schedules, attendance records, learning documentation, and standard operating procedures related to assigned systems and operational processes.
  • Promote consistent use of business applications and reinforce operational standards across departments and branch locations.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities for software updates and enhancements to understand functionality prior to user training deployment.
  • Support data integrity initiatives by reviewing, auditing, and correcting system data to ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Education, 1+ years of experience in corporate training, software training, business applications support, operational training, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience facilitating group training sessions, virtual meetings, or user onboarding programs preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software platforms or operational systems is a plus.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical systems and processes in a clear, user-friendly manner.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and training documentation tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and operational leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process consistency and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn business systems and stay current on software and process updates.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in fast-paced environments while supporting users and training initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in office, branch, and field-training environments requiring prolonged periods of sitting, standing, computer use, and presenting.
  • Frequent mobility required for onsite training, operational walkthroughs, meetings, and coaching sessions.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel, to support branch training and operational initiatives, with travel estimated at approximately 70% of scheduled working time.
  • Ability to transport training materials, laptops, and related equipment as needed.
  • Flexibility to support varying schedules across multiple locations and time zones.

These products include portable and fixed fire extinguishers, hoses, hose reels, nozzles, foam and other material/equipment involved in fire detection and suppression. We also provide safety equipment such as gloves, fire resistant clothing, safety glasses, masks, air breathing apparatus and other similar items. These products are sold from inventory or shipped directly to our customers from our vendors.

The following vendors we have on schedule include Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Siemens, Survivair, Akron Brass and Gentex, just to name a few.
