Within this organization, we are involved in every aspect of the advertising platform, from planning and development to implementation and utilization support for each business and client.

Department Overview

As the in-house platform team driving the business of the ad-serving platform “RUNA,” we provide RUNA to companies and businesses across the Rakuten Group. Aiming to increase company-wide advertising revenue, our department supports the technology, planning, and implementation of RUNA to help each business enhance the value of its products and ad inventory.

Leveraging the powerful assets of the Rakuten Ecosystem, our mission is to build one of Japan’s leading digital advertising ecosystems.

We are therefore seeking new teammates to help elevate overall platform quality and enhance customer satisfaction. In this role, you’ll have significant autonomy and the opportunity to fully leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills. It’s a pivotal position directly tied to driving business growth.

Position Details

You will play a key role in ensuring new RUNA features are smoothly adopted and fully utilized by users. Throughout the entire release cycle for each feature, you will help plan and execute strategies that drive user success, contributing to higher user engagement and stronger product adoption and retention.

1. Onboarding strategy planning and execution
- For each feature release, design effective onboarding strategies tailored to the target user segments.
- Create and update onboarding materials such as tutorials, help articles, and FAQs based on the strategy.
- Analyze usage data and feedback to propose and implement improvements to the onboarding process.

2. Collaboration with the product development team
- Work closely with the development team from the planning and development stages, providing user-centric feedback on new features.
- Coordinate and execute onboarding-related tasks in line with the feature release plan.

Work Environment
A small, high-caliber team of professionals in their early 30s to 40s.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Candidates with either of the following experience:
1. 3+ years in customer success, product support, onboarding, or equivalent roles for IT/Web services
2. 3+ years in SaaS product implementation support and driving usage/adoption"

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience planning, designing, and operating onboarding programs for new features
- Experience using marketing automation (MA) and CRM tools
- Basic knowledge of product management and development processes
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS (useful for creating onboarding content)
