We’re hiring for a hybrid role. You’ll work on-site with your team several days each week (typically 2–3), with the specific days set by your manager. Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.

Title: Technical Support Engineer – Swing Shift (4PM - 12AM Mountain Time)

Location: Salt Lake City (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional support, guiding customers through their journey with Everfox, and ensuring every interaction strengthens trust in our brand. If you enjoy diving into technical problems, collaborating with sharp colleagues, and helping customers succeed, this role is a perfect fit.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’re the bridge between Everfox technology and the customers who rely on it. Your technical skills, curiosity, and ability to communicate clearly will help customers unlock the full value of our solutions — and will position you to grow in areas like cybersecurity, software development, product engineering, and solution consulting.

You’ll work closely with our Professional Services and Engineering teams in Salt Lake City, gaining exposure to innovative product development and real‑world customer use cases. You’ll also be part of our global “follow‑the‑sun” support model, helping ensure customers receive timely assistance whenever urgent challenges arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work swing shift; Core business hours 4PM to 12AM Mountain Time
• Become an expert in the Everfox product suite and explain complex concepts simply and confidently.
• Provide responsive, thoughtful support that keeps customers moving forward.
• Investigate issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering to deliver resolutions.
• Give product teams real‑world feedback to help shape future features and improvements.
• Test new releases and surface clear, reproducible issues when needed.
• Create helpful customer resources — documentation, guides, tutorials, walkthroughs.
• Participate in our 24×7 remote support rota when required.

Skills and experience

You’ll be perfect for the role if you have the following:

• Calm under pressure, clear communicator, strong problem solver.
• Quick learner who thrives in fast changing technical environments.
• Great collaborator with a positive, customer first mindset.
• Strong Linux skills (especially RHEL).
• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and log/data analysis workflows.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Scripting experience for automation and troubleshooting.
• Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, routing, switching.
• Experience working across Windows and macOS.
• Bonus: AI experience or interest in using AI assisted tools in your workflow.

It would be super useful if you have any of the below:

• Holds — or is willing to obtain — an active TS clearance.
• Graduate-level qualification, ideally in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar engin
• eering, technology discipline.
• A working understanding of today’s cyber threat landscape and common defensive technologies.
• Customer facing experience (support, consulting, engineering, etc.).
• Strong communication skills — listening, simplifying complexity, and engaging confidently with stakeholders from frontline teams to executives.
• An ability to analyze, troubleshoot and reproduce issues effectively using log files and sample data.
• A demonstrable understanding of computer networking; in particular:
• internet technologies such as DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSL certificates
• the supporting OSI stack - TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing and switching
• implementing, integrating and debugging networks
• proxy and firewall technology and Syslog platforms
• security best practice

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$72,900.00-95,700.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
