The Technical support Engineer will ensure Baker Hughes delivers flawless execution by providing Technical Support to the Service Delivery and Sales team when needed in pre-planning, job execution, and post job analysis.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with managing the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.

  • Sharing the knowledge across the organization by submitting best practices, case histories & lessons learned to the knowledge management database.

  • Raising an alert across the Service Delivery organization whenever an unfamiliar technical issue arises on a job.

  • Providing troubleshooting and solutions to our service delivery team to ensure flawless customer execution.

  • Communicating and presenting recommendations, project plans and technical roadmaps to senior business leaders and other stakeholders.

  • Following up on field failures that requires Technology involvement and ensure that the learning is shared across the field.

  • Liaising with service delivery, clients and collaborating with stakeholders on complicated processes to ensure successful delivery

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on customer projects to design and execute best solutions

  • Communicate to Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies

  • Developing and implementing operational standards for the introduction of new products and technologies

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in a related field or demonstrate equivalent, professional work experience

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer within oil and gas industry.

  • Demonstrate expertise within Technical Support, Field Operations or Engineering role.

  • Have experience providing innovative, adaptive technical solutions and support to internal and external customers.

  • Have thorough understanding of PL technology and Service Delivery requirements.

  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audience.

  • Demonstrate experience of leading, mentoring and motivating teams in a technical environment

  • Be able to travel at short notice to global and offshore locations (around 25% of the time)
