Job Description

Tritium is a global leader in DC fast charging technology, and we're looking for a technically sharp, customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our Field Services team in Brisbane.

If you love solving complex problems, thrive in both an office and hands-on field environment, and want to play a real role in the global shift to electric vehicles, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

You'll be the technical backbone of our customer experience; diagnosing issues, coordinating field service activities, and making sure our chargers keep the world moving.

  • Provide technical support to customers globally via phone, email, and remote access
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on Tritium EV charging products
  • Perform on-site commissioning, maintenance, and repairs across Australia (with occasional international travel)
  • Monitor customer fleets and contribute to proactive maintenance planning
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and service reports
  • Participate in an on-call roster including some after-hours and weekend support
  • Collaborate with the global Field Services team to drive continuous service improvement
  • Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer sessions as needed

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems and the ability to read schematics
  • Experience diagnosing complex technical issues
  • Proficiency with remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and reporting
  • Willingness to travel within Australia and internationally
  • Valid Australian work authorisation

Preferred:

  • Experience with Tritium products or EV charging technology
  • Knowledge of OCPP protocols and Linux environments
  • Prior field service or on-site commissioning experience
  • Electrical licence or certificate
  • Experience with data logging and reporting
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Why Tritium?

  • Work on technology that’s genuinely shaping the future of transport, not just talking about it.
  • See your impact in the real world, with our chargers deployed globally.
  • Free on-site DC fast charging for your EV.
  • Novated leasing and meaningful employee savings benefits.
  • Flexible access to your earned wages.
  • Global career pathways in a high-performance engineering environment.
  • Half-day each month to spend however you choose — no agenda, no deliverables, just time that's yours.
