Responsibilities

• Under Technical Support Center (TSC) Department , team members should be familiar with technical industry knowledge and use technical data in the expansion of the engineering plastics business in ASEAN and India.
• Responsibility to investigate the mechanical and physical properties of engineering plastics by using scientific instruments in new developments.
• Provide technical support such as technical data, competitor grade comparison for pre-sales development, and technical advisory for after-sales services
• Performs failure benchmark testing, localization, and destructive or non-destructive analysis to determine the physical defects
• Involving in recording data for experiments and procedures and maintain and support documentation and records
• Provide overall technical solutions to customers and also the inclusion of tooling, and part design analysis i.e CAE, and injection molding
• Conduct market research on the latest technology trends related to the companys current or future targeted applications
• Plan and work together with the commercial team to create a mid-term plan as well as Long long-term plan business strategy on target application
• Provide solution and technical support to the commercial team in meeting short-term budget targets
• Plan and evaluate analysis methods about actual application requirements and needs to provide actual data to customers for application development
• Obtain actual application requirements and translate these technical requirements into actual material properties for R&D to formulate new material.
• Provide support in negotiating newly formulated material technical properties limitation with customers on specific application needs & requirements
• Provide technical marketing activities in developing new markets and/or customers.
• Provide technical training to all business partners such as Traders and/or Distributors on company Engineering Polymer, technical training will be also extended to customers as and when requested
• Organized trade show to enhance company product brand marketing and conducting molding trials with customers

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology (Plastics/ Polymer), Chemistry or any related discipline
• Knowledge in Polymer / Plastics a MUST and minimum 3 to 5 yrs experience in plastics injection molding and experience of chemical analysis for plastics or chemicals
• Candidate with Japanese Language JLPT N1/2 added advantage
• Candidate with good Business acumen will be an advantage
• Good knowledge with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation will be an advantage
• Previous exposure to Laboratory analysis equipment will be an advantage
• Software Skills - Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
• Personal Skills - Stress Management, Statistical Skills, Research, Project Management, Self Motivated, Analytical Skills, Time/Priority Management, Work Independently.
• Oversea travelling will be required for this position
• Driving experience or possess Class 3 driving license will be a plus point
