Technical Supervisor

Location: Northern Suburbs, Cape Town | Industry: Industrial Services
Type: Full-time | Reports To: Operations Manager

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for engineering excellence and operational efficiency? We're looking for a Technical Supervisor to lead our dynamic operations team and drive performance, reliability, and client satisfaction in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Requirments:

• Red Seal Millwright or Electrical Trade Certificate (or) Diploma in Electrical Engineering with mechanical experience
• Boiler operation & maintenance certifications are a plus
• Valid drivers licence
• 5-10 years in a similar technical supervisory role
• Strong leadership experience in managing the boiler house or production staff
• Skilled in fault-finding, planned maintenance, and commissioning
• Familiar with PLC programming, electrical/mechanical systems
• Able to read technical drawings and create basic diagrams
• Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint

About the Role

As the Technical Supervisor, you'll take ownership of supervising operating staff and managing equipment operations with a focus on:

• Improving equipment efficiency and availability

• Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance

• Leading equipment installation projects

• Ensuring safety, compliance, and technical excellence

• Maintaining strong client communication and trust

️ Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supervising site operations staff and external suppliers

• Driving site and equipment efficiency

• Attending to breakdowns, maintenance tasks, and installations

• Performing risk assessments and ensuring legal and safety compliance

• Handling client communications and incident responses

• Completing inspections and reports on boiler operations and maintenance

• Managing and optimizing boiler control systems and plant performance

• • Boiler servicing and project management experience will be advantageous
