The FPGA Emulation team in the MCU division is looking for a pre-silicon FPGA validation engineer. As an experienced validation engineer, you will interact with design engineers in charge of different parts of our microcontrollers, define test plans and implement tests. Having good debugging and investigation skills is crucial in this role. You will also need to have a system approach and therefore consider the microcontroller as a whole rather than the sum of its constituents.

In this role, you will work with members of other R&D disciplines (architecture, design, verification, validation, and applications) to improve the quality of our microcontrollers. Detecting errors so early in the design phase allows them to be corrected and therefore moves towards our goal of a correct final design by construction before mass producing our microcontrollers on silicon.

What’s attractive about this opportunity

  • This position will allow you to actively participate to the design and development of new 32bits microcontrollers.
  • You will deepen your knowledge on how modern microcontrollers function internally as you will have a full view on how the functional blocks are integrated together.
  • You will also experience a strong international cooperation within the FPGA validation team as well as with the other design teams of the product development department.
  • You get to work on communication, security, and edge AI verticals
