Technical Staff

The Technical Staff is responsible for supporting project teams with design development and construction documentation. This individual actively collaborates with project teams to integrate the project story and guiding principles into the design process. This is a pre-licensed position designed for recent graduates or individuals with early career experience, offering opportunities to develop skills and contribute to architectural projects under the mentorship of more senior architects.

Engage with the project team to understand a project’s story, guiding principles, and design intent. Collaborate within project teams to assist in developing a coherent design concept and narrative.
Assist in the development of drawings and renderings in the schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases under the guidance of more senior architects.
Produce architectural drawings using Revit and other software tools.
Work collaboratively with all architectural disciplines to deliver high-quality project documents.
Adhere to Pfluger’s standards for drawing documentation and quality with guidance.
Conduct basic research on building codes, zoning laws, site requirements, and materials as directed.
Attend project meetings and provide administrative support as needed.
Assist project team in processes associated with requests for information (RFIs) and architect’s supplemental instructions (ASIs) under supervision.
Support the selection and documentation of materials for project specifications.
Assist in construction administration tasks, including site visits and field reports with guidance on an as needed basis.
Actively participate in Pfluger’s Professional Advancement & Study Support (PASS) program and complete AXP hours in pursuit of licensure as a condition for ongoing employment, salary increases, and career advancement.

Experience & Qualifications:

Foundational knowledge of architectural documentation standards.
Ability to produce simple construction documents and visualizations under guidance.
Basic proficiency in Revit is essential. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products is highly preferred.
Foundational communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships and work as part of a team.
Growing organization skills and attention to detail.
Degree in Architecture (pre-professional) is required. Professional degree in Architecture is strongly preferred.
Location:
The Technical Staff must be prepared to commute 3 days per week to Pfluger’s local office and as required to Pfluger’s other offices.
