In this role, you'll:


Working as part of a team delivering expert workers compensation advice and claims management support, you’ll help ensure compliance with legislation, SIRA standards and internal policies across both self-insurance and Treasury Managed Fund portfolios.


This role will see you lead technical guidance, mentoring and training for the Injury & Health Solutions team, manage complex and litigated claims including Whole Person Impairment and Work Injury Damages, and oversee legal provider performance. You’ll also contribute to audits, remediation planning, and uplift capability across the team through clinics and development forums.

About you

You will lead improvements in claims management practices and cost efficiencies in a complex, regulated and high-volume environment. Your technical expertise, legal acumen, and mentoring capability, formed across insurance, legal, and public sector roles, will see you overcome legislative challenges, uplift team capability, and ensure timely and appropriate resolution of claims to deliver reduced claim durations, improved compliance, and enhanced service outcomes.

You're recognised as a trusted technical advisor, skilled at interpreting legislation, managing complex and litigated cases, and mentoring teams, and experienced in self-insurance portfolio management, workers compensation law, and premium management.

You bring significant experience in workers compensation claims, including leading a self-insurance portfolio and managing insurance premiums, along with tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
