Salary £36,363 - £40,777 per annum | Permanent, Full time 37 hours per week | County Hall, Preston

Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for systems and service excellence? Join our Finance Service at County Hall and play a key role in delivering high-quality payroll services to over 35,000 employees across the North West.

As a Payroll Technical Specialist on the Payroll Service Development Team, you will:

  • Develop and provide training to internal Payroll team members and customers/end users
  • Be involved in developing increased customer engagement activities to user groups across LCC, schools and academies
  • Provide technical support on complex payroll and pension matters, including PAYE, NIC, and pension reconciliations
  • Produce meaningful management information and support project delivery within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters

What we're looking for:

  • 4 GCSEs (A–C) including Maths and English
  • Proven experience in a large, complex payroll environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical guidance
  • Experience in producing management reports and delivering training
