  • Contribute to the development of sourcing solutions aligned to the delivery of the required services.
  • Support contracted services by reviewing performance metrics, incidents, maintenance, and costs, while also ensuring health and safety compliance through action item follow-ups and audit reviews.
  • Provide contractual input for new services, draft updates to agreements and operational documents, and maintain contract repositories while supporting commercial discussions as an SME.
  • Assess and approve service delivery variations, revise rate quotes for compliance, and establish performance metrics to supervise supplier performance and ensure service level viability.
  • Manage problem and incident management processes across facilities, coordinate with service providers, identify critical maintenance needs, and oversee risk register tracking, while preparing for audits and addressing corrective actions.
  • Support the integration of new and replacement systems into facilities by collaborating closely with business partners in engineering, OEM, and deployment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide mentorship on disaster preparation and recovery for facility systems, focusing on major events like weather-related incidents and critical outages. Also, contribute to power and cooling resilience for minor and major facilities, offering insights to improve site autonomy and efficiency.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Relevant professional qualifications in a related facilities such as power, aircon or telco, underpinned by formal qualifications in engineering or telco related fields.
  • Hands on experience in managing outsourced services, including operational governance and oversight of commercial and consumption spend pools.
  • Clear understanding of the key drivers, influences and processes associated with building and operating networks.
  • Detailed understanding and business knowledge of operations and platforms.
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, with fantastic communication, presentation and influencing skills.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive remuneration and employee discounts. Make life easier (and more affordable) with $80 monthly credit and 25% off Optus products and unique shopping discounts with our retail partners.
  • Flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work three days in the office, two days remote or home.
  • Competitive leave policies, including additional 'Connected’ days to focus on culture, family, health, community, or whatever’s important to you.
  • We support growing families with inclusive, carer-neutral paid Parental Leave of up to 16 weeks.
  • Direct your own development and build future-ready skills with Optus U’s industry-focused micro-credentials, developed with La Trobe and Macquarie Universities.
  • Build meaningful connections through employee-led networks and diversity initiatives including Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network and Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+).
  • Put your wellbeing first with free access to counselling and support services, 24/7 — in-person, by phone, SMS, or video.
