About the role

We are looking for a field-focused Technical Specialist to support the implementation and ongoing performance of Electronic Blasting Systems (EBS) and technical solutions for customers across the Eastern Europe & Middle East region.
Based in Spain, this role is highly customer-facing and travel-intensive. You will act as a technical point of contact, ensuring safe and reliable deployment, supporting product stewardship, and communicating the value of Orica’s solutions to customers.
This is a fast-paced opportunity with accelerated responsibility. Following initial onboarding and field exposure, you will operate independently and take ownership of customer support activities.

What you will be doing

• Support implementation and deployment of electronic blasting systems in customer operations.
• Provide technical support on-site and remotely, ensuring effective and safe operations.
• Deliver product stewardship activities and promote safe usage practices.
• Train and coach customer teams in the use of electronic blasting systems.
• Communicate with technical value proposition to support customer engagement and adoption.
• Work closely with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve field performance.
• Operate in a remote-first environment, spending most of the time in the field.

What you will bring

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related technical field.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in mining operations or technical support roles.
• Understanding mining operations and blasting processes.
• Exposure to electronic blasting systems or similar technologies.
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 75% of the time).
