Hiring Unit:
Athletics & Recreation
Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Coach - Redbirds Hockey, the Technical Specialist will assist in the implementation of performance and student-athlete development initiatives that support the success of McGill Redbirds program. The incumbent will provide technical, analytical, and operational support to the coaching staff and contribute to the overall development of the program. The incumbent will be expected to lead and assist in all talent identification and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and implementation of long-term athlete development plans.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Strong knowledge of the hockey sport
Prior coaching experience at an elite/competitive level
Level II NCCP certification or equivalent
Able to commit to a flexible schedule
Bilingual – French and English
*** Expected to complete mandatory training/course including Safe Sport and CCES Anti-Doping
***Selected candidate must successfully pass their criminal background check.
