Job Summary

ROLE PURPOSE

Assess, convert, remediate and package legacy mobile applications for Hand Held devices while meeting tier-specific functional parity, quality and delivery requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & LEVEL

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience; relevant cloud, Agile, mobile, security or platform certifications are advantageous.
• Senior/lead profile: owns complex outcomes, mentors team members and influences architecture, quality and stakeholder decisions.
• Strong written and spoken English, collaborative delivery behavior and disciplined handling of customer code, credentials and data.

Key Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform discovery and complexity tiering using code size, SDK/API dependencies, use cases, files and AIDL/IPC risk.
• Execute AIFW-assisted code transformation, SDK mapping, dependency updates, module rewrites and OEM configuration changes.
• Develop or remediate Android/mobile components, workflows and integrations for Hand Held Native or Customer Native delivery.
• Generate and execute tests, resolve conversion defects, support HITL reviews and achieve the applicable parity target.
• Package APK/IPA artefacts, migrated source where applicable, PRD, parity report, quality scans and test evidence.
• Support device validation, UAT clarification, deployment and two-week Hypercare; capture reusable patterns and lessons learned.

KEY DELIVERABLES / SUCCESS MEASURES

• Accepted converted artefacts; parity of 95% Simple, ≥90% Moderate or ≥85% Complex/Very Complex; first-pass HITL quality; low Sev-1/2 leakage; reusable migration patterns.

KEY INTERFACES

• Technical Lead, SDK Specialist, QA, Product Manager, End Customer SMEs, Hand Held engineering and Factory Operations.

Staffing-plan skills: Mobile +Workflow +android development and migration.

Enhanced requirements: Android/mobile application development, Java/Kotlin and relevant legacy technologies, SDK/API integration, code analysis and refactoring, Gradle/build tooling, Python/workflow automation, debugging, testing, Git and secure coding.
