Job Description

Job Purpose:

Technical Support & Training and Development of Sales / Marketing / Application Personnel on Technical aspects.

Drive product specifications by building strong relationships with consultants, specifiers, and government authorities.

New product innovations in line with Group, Technical meets calendar, Demos’s.

Organising Technical seminars, B2B meetings, Exhibitions, technical collaterals, Group presentations.

Develop technical department to handle the growth of the company in future.

To ensure timely testing & certification management of all products.

To acquire required knowledge / certification to manage Thermal audits.

Scope:

Technical Specialist for ROXUL ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation India Private Limited.

Key Result Areas

1. Technical Capability Development: Enhance competency of Sales, Marketing, and Application teams through structured technical training and knowledge transfer.

2. Technical Promotion & Outreach: Deliver effective technical seminars, demos, B2B meetings, and exhibitions aligned with the annual technical calendar.

3. Product Compliance & Certification: Ensure timely completion of testing, certifications, and statutory approvals for all products.

4. Innovation & Technical Excellence: Support new product introductions and build a scalable technical function to sustain long-term business growth.

5. Collaborate with internal teams: To support in-house marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Job Content

1. Provide end-to-end technical support to Sales, Marketing, and Application teams for project enquiries, system recommendations, and on-site troubleshooting.

2. Conduct structured technical training programs and skill development sessions to strengthen internal capabilities.

3. Drive product specifications by engaging consultants, architects, EPCs, and government authorities through technical discussions and value engineering.

4. Plan and execute technical seminars, B2B meetings, exhibitions, live demonstrations, and develop technical collaterals and group presentations.

5. Coordinate new product introductions in line with Group strategy, including technical validation and market readiness.

6. Manage product testing schedules, third-party certifications, statutory approvals, and maintain updated compliance documentation.

7. Develop competence in thermal audits and support energy efficiency assessments where required.

8. Build and scale the Technical Department processes, documentation systems, and knowledge base to support future business growth.

Professional Skills & Personal Competencies :

Professional Skill:

1. In-depth knowledge of insulation materials, firestopping systems, and relevant national/international standards (ASTM / IS / EN).

2. Technical evaluation and interpretation of test reports, certifications, and compliance documentation.

3. Capability to conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and structured training programs.

4. Specification writing, technical submittals, and tender documentation support.

5. Thermal performance analysis , basic heat loss/gain calculations & be proficient in relevant calculation software’s.

6. Testing coordination and certification lifecycle management.

7. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), technical documentation tools, and CRM systems.

8. Ability to influence, formulate messages clearly, develop and nurture a diverse range of strategic internal and external relationships.

9. Ability to challenge the status quo and improve existing processes/programs

10. Needs to understand his/her own technical knowledge and skills in order to decide in-time to hand over technical discussions to the appropriate person in Rockwool

11. Intensive training and updating / sharing knowledge on a regular basis overseas will be necessary

12. Being able to combine a high amount of input from diverse fields (technical, social, legislative, etc) and connecting these to formulate solutions to (latent) problems

Personal Skill:

1. University degree in engineering. Specialization in Mechanical / Civil engineering.

2. Min. 3-5 years’ experience in a similar job involving technical Insulation/ fire safety / energy efficiency industry.

3. Drive to understand ROCKWOOL products, technologies, applications and related issues as well as the capability to communicate these to government officials and other non-technical audiences.

4. Fluent in English and the local language.

5. Being able to present ideas and plans convincingly to others.

6. Entrepreneurial and innovative “can-do-attitude”, driving initiatives.

7. High level of integrity and willing to travel.

8. To be aligned with the ROCKWOOL values.
