The opportunity

We are now looking for a motivated and committed Technical Specialist for our Grid Automation Pre-Sales team in Hub Europe.

You may be at an earlier stage of your professional career or have a few years of relevant experience and are now looking to further develop by combining technical expertise with a more customer‑oriented role. You are interested in growing as a dedicated technical specialist with a strong focus on customer interaction and solution development.

The most important thing is that you are open and motivated to deliver technical sales presentations, both face‑to‑face and remotely, to new and existing customers as well as consultants. While this is not a purely sales‑focused role, you have a genuine interest in understanding customer needs and in recommending suitable products, services, and solutions.

Please note that this is a remote team, which requires a certain level of self-initiative. You will also have the flexibility to plan your workdays independently. The applicant must have the right to travel freely within Europe and the United Kingdom.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide pre-sales technical support/expertise to assist the sales team in their sales effort with specialized product knowledge.
  • Delivery in-depth presentations and product/system demonstrations to clients and sales representatives both internally and externally.
  • Perform customer interactions like demos, proof of concepts and presentations of our Substation Automation products and solutions
  • Early engagement with existing and potential customers for the purpose of joint development of solutions together with the sales team is key to successfully filling this position.
  • Over time you may also possess some capability for product/service solutions and support in developing prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility of product solutions.
  • Prepared to travel up to 15 to 20 days per year within Hub Europe area for customer visit and demos. Meetings can be a mix of virtual and face to face meetings.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • You have an active, energetic, and open approach.
  • Some B2B pre-sales experience and experience in customer activities.
  • Good communication and presentation skills and ability to learn.
  • Ideally, you have some experience with Substation Automation solutions for Offshore wind projects – preferable with site experience.
  • Substation Automation knowledge and some experience within Wind Onshore or Offshore projects and electrical HV solutions or large PV project.
  • Knowledge of electrical HV solution applications within Electric Utilities, especially for TSO’s would be an advantage.
  • Understanding the Electrical Grid connection in Wind projects and PV solutions, with some communication experience as well as Digital substation experience will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English, any other European language is an advantage.
