About the role We are looking for a Technical Solutions Specialist, Geologist to combine advanced geoscience expertise with strong customer engagement skills, helping mining customers get the most from Seequent’s solutions. With a primary focus on Leapfrog and Central, you will deliver tailored technical support, product demonstrations, training, and mentoring from trial stage through to advanced use. Working closely with sales colleagues, global technical leads, and development teams, you will understand customer workflows, build practical implementation plans, promote best-practice approaches, and contribute to the growth of Seequent’s software suite. This is a hands-on role for a geologist who enjoys solving complex problems, building trusted relationships, and helping others succeed with technology. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Share expert-level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing mining customers, supporting effective use of Seequent’s geoscience tools. Partner with Account Managers and Inside Sales to advance opportunities through workflow discovery, product demonstrations, trials, and implementation planning. Provide remote technical support and guidance, working through real customer examples and developing tailored solutions for complex mining challenges. Proactively engage customers through account health checks, software release updates, and best-practice guidance that embeds new features into their workflows. Deliver regular multi-day training sessions on Leapfrog Geo and Central, building user capability, confidence, and long-term value from the software. Collaborate with regional and global technical teams and software development colleagues to share customer insights, improve solutions, and support strategic business objectives. To be successful in this role you should have: A Bachelor-level geoscience qualification, preferably in Geology, together with at least five years of experience in exploration and/or mining roles. Strong knowledge of geological modelling workflows across commodities, ideally including mine geology, exploration geology, resource estimation, or short-term grade control. Practical experience using 3D geological modelling software to solve real-world mining challenges. Advanced Leapfrog capability is highly desirable. Confident written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to a range of customers and stakeholders. A customer-focused and collaborative approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in mentoring others and promoting best-practice workflows. The ability to work autonomously, balance multiple priorities, solve problems thoughtfully, and travel within the region or overseas when required. Location and additional information This role is based in Perth, Australia and is office-based. You will join a skilled, productive, and supportive technical team with colleagues across multiple disciplines and locations around the world. The role requires travel within the region, up to approximately 15% monthly, with overseas travel when required. The position has no direct reports.
