Job Description

A leading developer of embedded computing technologies is seeking a Technical Solutions Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead a highly skilled technical team responsible for helping customers architect, evaluate, and deploy advanced computing solutions for mission-critical applications.

In this leadership role, you will bridge customer-facing technical engagements, engineering, product management, and business development to deliver innovative embedded computing solutions for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership experience and a passion for helping customers solve complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed team of solution architects and application engineers, fostering technical excellence and outstanding customer engagement.
  • Guide the design, evaluation, and delivery of modular embedded computing platforms and high-performance hardware solutions that meet customer technical and commercial requirements.
  • Review and approve technical proposals, solution recommendations, compliance documentation, statements of work, and customer-facing technical deliverables.
  • Partner with sales leadership to qualify strategic opportunities, develop competitive solution strategies, and support complex enterprise pursuits.
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor during customer meetings, solution discussions, technical evaluations, and design reviews.
  • Monitor emerging industry trends, customer requirements, and evolving embedded computing technologies to provide input into future product direction and solution strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management to develop customer-facing technical materials, educational content, webinars, and sales enablement resources.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, product management, and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, technical consortiums, customer workshops, and strategic meetings.



Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience supporting embedded computing platforms, technical solution development, application engineering, or pre-sales engineering.
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-facing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of embedded computing technologies, modular hardware architectures, and industry-standard open computing platforms used in demanding environments.
  • Experience supporting customers in defense, aerospace, government, industrial automation, transportation, or other mission-critical industries.
  • Solid knowledge of embedded hardware technologies, including processors, networking, storage, I/O subsystems, power management, and thermal design considerations.
  • Experience interpreting customer requirements, preparing technical proposals, participating in design reviews, and supporting complex solution-based sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product management, manufacturing, and sales organizations.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% to support customers, strategic business initiatives, and industry events.
