Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer - Mid to help design and deliver innovative software solutions that improve user experience, streamline business processes, and support digital transformation. In this role, you’ll work across application development, automation, analytics, visualization, and AI/ML to build solutions that meet customer needs and drive business value.

What You Will Do:

The Lead manages small teams to work on project tasks under the supervision of a project manager to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within the available budget to meet customer requirements.

  • Design and deliver technical solutions that integrate with customer data sources and business workflows.
  • Configure and customize applications to align with customer processes and business rules.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on solution architecture, APIs, integrations, and data models.
  • Partner with product and development teams to communicate customer feedback and support continuous product improvement.
  • Develop clear technical documentation, including solution designs, integration guides, and implementation best practices.
  • Train and support customers and internal teams on solution deployment and usage.
  • Advise customers on solution design, implementation strategy, and optimization opportunities.
  • Gather and clarify functional requirements while working across business, development, infrastructure, and project teams.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or a related STEM field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in scripting, software development, or technical solution delivery.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Preferred

  • Direct client interactions within the federal government
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, and/or PostGreSQL
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, and/or github
  • Google Cloud certification
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification
  • Agile or Scrum certification
  • Application development experience with Google Cloud and Workspace platforms.
  • Experience implementing machine learning and AI-driven solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to team members and clients at all levels.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and user-centered design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, direct, and support more junior level staff on projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems.

Country Requirements

US Citizenship required for roles supporting government contracts

Reporting Relationships:

Could report to the Project Manager or Program Manager or a more senior level Consultant.
