Job Description

Murex is a global fintech leader in trading, risk management and processing solutions for capital markets.

Operating from our 19 offices, 3 400 Murexians from over 65 different nationalities ensure the development, implementation and support of our platform which is used by banks, asset managers, corporations and utilities, across the world.

Join Murex and work on the challenges of an industry at the forefront of innovation and thrive in a people-centric environment. You’ll be part of one global team where you can learn fast and stay true to yourself.

We are looking for a senior, technology‑oriented solution architect with deep expertise in the financial services industry for established financial institutions (banks, insurers, asset managers).

You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Murex offerings across EMEA by engaging directly with IT architecture teams, understanding their enterprise environments, and shaping how our solutions integrate into their technological landscape.

This is a high-impact role that requires strong technical skills, business acumen, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.

What the job is about

- Partner closely with Sales to identify client needs, qualify opportunities, and articulate the value of Murex solutions.

- Engage directly with IT departments (CIO offices, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, integration architects) to understand their environments, constraints, and long-term strategy.

- Design end‑to‑end solution architectures, including integration patterns, data flows, scalability models, and deployment options.

- Develop and deliver POCs, demos, and technical workshops to validate solution fit and support the customer’s decision-making process.

- Present and position Murex offerings in a way that resonates with IT stakeholders covering architectural integrity, TCO, modernization and transformation drivers, and operational impacts.

- Respond to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring high‑quality, accurate, and compelling technical content aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

- Build presales assets: architecture diagrams, solution playbooks, demo scripts, reusable RFP materials.

- Support deal handover to implementation teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and project kickoff.

- Collaborate with Product and Engineering with actionable feedback from customers to align their roadmap with market expectations.

- Contribute to go‑to‑market initiatives, industry events, marketing content, and internal enablement.

- Stay current on industry trends such as AI, enterprise architecture practices, cloud adoption patterns, and competitor offerings relevant to large financial institutions.

Your profile

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Significant presales / solution engineering experience (5+ years) in the financial services sector, working with large banks or established financial institutions.

- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence IT departments, enterprise architects, infrastructure leads, and technical decision-makers.

- Customer-oriented mindset, with strong problem solving and the ability to navigate heavily regulated enterprise environments.

- Solid understanding of capital markets technology landscapes: enterprise architecture principles, integration models (APIs, services, messaging, data flows), scalability and performance considerations, cloud and on-premise architectures, security and compliance, buy vs build paradigm, TCO considerations, etc.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, capable of tailoring technical content to both expert and non-expert audiences.

- Hands-on experience with relevant technologies such as cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, scripting (Python), POC (Java, webApp), LLMs, automation tools.
