Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain organization, accuracy, and availability of technical inventory, materials, and equipment used by the Technical Services department.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and track incoming parts, sensors, cables, and equipment.
• Prepare and fulfill internal equipment orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to delivery or shipment.
• Support purchasing activities, including placing orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with vendors as directed.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions for technical equipment, including packing, labeling, and documentation.
• Assist with wiring and assembly of data loggers, project boxes, and control enclosures during periods of high workload or large orders.
• Coordinate with technicians and shop personnel to ensure equipment and materials are available for upcoming projects.
• Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled storage and work areas.
• Follow established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Provide general logistical and operational support to the Technical Services team as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within established processes.
• Basic electrical knowledge or aptitude, with the ability to perform wiring and assembly tasks when directed.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic electrical tools safely and effectively.
• Comfortable using a laptop computer and basic office software, including email, spreadsheets, and documentation tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks independently and maintain reliability and consistency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors, and shop personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, parts, or support role preferred.
• Basic electrical, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
• No formal degree required.
