About the job


The Technical Services Specialist, working closely with the Technical Services Supervisor, is responsible for carrying out all technical activities in the printing and coding facility. This role requires extensive experience in maintenance of production environments, deep technical knowledge, and strong communication skills.

ROLE


• Ensure the maintenance plan is followed and fully executed for the assets in the printing and coding facility
• Witness and report all outsourced maintenance activities
• Track and report spare parts and technical consumable stock levels
• Manage procurement by placing orders based on pre-identified critical stock levels and order cycles
• Intervene and report all failures, malfunctions, or breakdowns of assets immediately
• Establish and maintain a record log for asset failures, providing monthly reports to the Technical Services Supervisor
• Operate all assets within the printing and coding facility as required
• Track and record the use of ink and consumables for all machines during operation, as needed
• Suggest technical and operational improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and prevent recurring failures
• Undertake any other business-related tasks to support facility objectives

PROFILE

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronic departments
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in precision production environments (e.g., packaging, printing, pharma, electronics)
• Proven experience with electronic systems (e.g., inspection camera software) and mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a structured approach to problem-solving
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical documentation
• High awareness of safety standards and compliance protocols
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to gather context and make thoughtful decisions
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and general PC operations
• Flexibility to work in shifts and/or on an on-call basis
• Proficient in using hand tools and capable of performing tasks at heights or carrying loads as required
• Experience in security printing, printing, packaging, pharma or industrial automation is a significant advantage
• Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus
• Basic proficiency in English is an asset
