Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Technical Services Manager.
Direct, plan organize, and control the efforts of the maintenance and facility team members to maintain site equipment, instrumentation, utilities, and facilities in compliance with good engineering practices. In addition, this role leads efforts to implement equipment installation, layout changes, and construction projects. This position is also responsible for managing the activities, metrics, financials, budget, and personnel required for the current and future needs of our facilities. Leads the effort for the machine guarding and electrical test remediation program for the Site. Manage GHG reduction projects and strive to meet our facility meets requirements for Greenfield and any other regulations for the facility.

Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the facilities, workshop, and manufacturing equipment, including general and preventive maintenance, environmental, janitorial, and life-safety are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with the company's policies and requirements.
2. Oversight of the Maintenance and Facility personnel to ensure proper support to production processes.
3. Lead technical services function for optimal functionality of existing building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, air compressors, emergency generators, building management systems, fire suppression systems, wastewater treatment plant, and controls/instrumentation. Multidisciplinary knowledge and experience are a must.
4. Development and management of ongoing maintenance processes and schedules for buildings and machinery. Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
5. Development of and adherence to technical services budget. Management of spare parts controls and repair/preventive services.
6. Development, scheduling, and project management of facility, capacity, machinery, and new manufacturing technology implementation projects, as assigned, and evaluation of performance.
7. Lead the selection, installation, and testing of new equipment to ensure fulfillment of quality and productivity specifications.
8. Establish contractual relationships and negotiations of service contracts with outside service vendors to request service and/or parts for repairs and services that require specialized skills.
9. Support production teams in process optimization, new layout changes, improvements in area of yields, capacity, defect reduction, and waste minimization
10. Manage plant-wide maintenance maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost-effectiveness with available resources
11. Develop and execute skills assessment and future competency development plan based on current needs and future technology evolution
12. Lead assigned projects to deploy Industry 4.0 tools & and technologies into manufacturing operations utilizing predictive maintenance devices and maintenance reliability techniques.
13. Participate and develop project risk assessment, including MOC (Management of change), permits submissions in order to comply with EHS requirements and regulations.
14. Maintain equipment changing procedures and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment change over time.
15. Overall responsibility to drive SMED and TPM initiatives to ensure positive impact and cost reduction
16. Develop and deploy a Business Continuity Plan (BCM).
17. Coordinate with EHS Manager for site compliance, needs and priorities.
18. Ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant through strict adherence to safe work practices by all maintenance department personnel
19. Lead Capital Plan initiatives assigned to the department. Development of Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) and support other peers serving as a coach.
Education level required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related fields.
Years and area of experience required
• A minimum of 7 years of experience is required in manufacturing engineering-related areas.
Technical knowledge
• Strong knowledge in the electrical and mechanical fields, equipment and machine design, building and equipment maintenance techniques, automation and new technology implementation.
• Experience managing and executing projects related to industrialization, layouts, or machine development and installation.
• Knowledge in: Computarized maintenance management system, Lean, 6 Sigma and technical statistics, safety standards and regulations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred:
• Project management certification. New building start-up. SAP knowledge.
