Operations Technical Services Manager

Location(s)

  • Remote (United States)
  • Travel as needed, including domestic and occasional international travel

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary
  • Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000
  • 10% performance bonus structure:
  • 5% company performance
  • 5% individual KPI performance

The Operations Technical Services Manager role is a remote, customer-facing position supporting complex electrical distribution and critical infrastructure projects across data centers, utilities, industrial facilities, and energy markets. This individual will coordinate commissioning activities, field service support, spare parts logistics, and communication between customers, engineering teams, and third-party service providers to ensure successful project execution and lifecycle support. The ideal candidate will have experience in service or project management within industrial power equipment environments, strong technical coordination skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.

Job Function

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and service partners during commissioning and after-sales support activities
  • Coordinate field service execution, including startup, troubleshooting, warranty support, and service scheduling
  • Manage project communication, timelines, issue escalation, and coordination between internal and external stakeholders
  • Track specification changes, project approvals, deliverables, and milestones
  • Support spare parts planning, service proposals, and lifecycle management activities in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Provide technical coordination and first-line support for customer and field inquiries
  • Support electrical distribution projects for data centers, utilities, industrial facilities, oil & gas, and clean energy clients
  • Utilize project tracking and operational software tools to manage workflows and reporting
  • Travel as needed to support project coordination and customer requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of five years of experience in service management or project management within critical infrastructure or industrial environments
  • Experience in industrial power equipment, electrical infrastructure, or related industries preferred
  • Experience working with international teams is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Qualifications

  • Strong service management experience in industrial, electrical, or field service environments
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and technical submittals
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Dynamics, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and project tracking tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and risk assessment abilities
  • Ability to lead initiatives, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
