The Position

Position: Technical Service Apprentice (Early in Career Program)

Location: Zagreb, Croatia

Duration: 2 Years (Structured Development Pathway)

Paid Working Time: Part-time (20 hours per week, flexible around university schedules)

About the Program:

Roche Adriatic has launched the Apprenticeship Program in Technical Service, a dedicated 2-year initiative designed to empower exceptional university students during their final years of study. This program bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world biomedical engineering, positioning you to become part of our permanent talent pool.

Your 2-Year Journey:

  • Year 1 (Foundations & Tooling): Deep dive into Roche standard onboarding (mQMS, SHE, biohazard safety). Get introduced to laboratory environments, shadow senior field service engineers across at least 5 full Preventive Maintenance Visits (PMV), and master logistics/spare parts management.
  • Year 2 (Advanced Specialization & Autonomy): Achieve official technical certification (e.g., cobas e411 system), log actions via ServiceMAX, utilize remote diagnostics via the ThingWorx Platform (RTP), and take complete charge of maintenance checks under expert mentorship.

Who You Are:

  • A student in their final years of study at a Croatian University (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing - FER, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture - FSB, or similar technical/biomedical curriculum).
  • Eligible to work 20 hours per week via a valid Student Contract (Studentski Centar).
  • Highly curious, technically-minded, and fluent in both Croatian and English.

What We Offer:

  • Structured, paid student engagement that respects your exam periods.
  • Direct 1-on-1 mentorship and official global industry certifications.
  • Talent Capture Pipeline: An evaluation at the end of Year 2 for conversion into full-time employment or a long-term contract role upon graduation (subject to headcount availability).

Please submit your CV in English.
