Gentherm Service Technicians perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on equipment. They also provide training, guidance, and support to our customers, ensuring that the hospitals we serve can swiftly return their broken units to full operation.
· Clean-up units after service/repair
· Prepare cartons for shipping Receive, decontaminate, and evaluate units
· Place orders for customer parts
· Service and repair small equipment (supervised repair of equipment)
· Build spare parts
· Conduct material evaluation
· Document all service work, evaluations, etc.
· Troubleshoot CE machines in the production stage
· Refrigeration Certification
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Strong written and verbal communications
· Have working knowledge of refrigeration, and related theory
· Have working knowledge of electrical circuits, AC & DC
· Have experience with Digital Multi Meter (DMM)
· Have the ability to read electrical schematics and refrigeration diagrams
· Good communication skills
· Must have the ability to assist customers over the phone with technical inquiries
· Must have the ability to work with customers in high stress situations
· Must have basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel
· Must have to ability to follow SOPs, DWIs, and any other component of Gentherm’s Quality System
· Previous experience with Gentherm equipment
· Previous experience with supporting customers over the phone
· Technical degree or trade certificate in electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration systems
· Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel
· Previous experience with ERP systems
