What you will be doing
This position exists to ensure the safe, efficient, cost effective and a highly productive work environment when performing requested service and project engineering work at customer facilities. The Technical Service and Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the commercial engineering projects of the business both inhouse and during contractor execution of work at customer facilities 7 days a week.
The position is responsible for supporting the management and sales of service engineering commercial project efforts in conjunction with the commercial project engineering team. This includes, but is not limited to, commercial sales, fabrication quality inspection of fabricated equipment, providing technical assistance to onsite contractors and customers, creation of processes and work instructions, contract and customer training, detailing special instructions and onsite problem solving as required.
The Technical Service and Sales Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution onsite client activities. These efforts include facilities equipment inspections and operational system evaluation.
Who we are looking for
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a similar field is preferred, but equivalent years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
5 - 10 years of project engineering experience in the Chemical Industry with Engineering Sales and/or Project Management experience preferred.
5 -10 years of related industrial experience

Mathematical Skills
Familiarity with Project Management principals
Knowledge of Excel formulas
Ability to create spreadsheets for calculations
Computer Skills
Excellent proficiency with the use of Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Expertise in SAP
Other Qualifications
Drug testing and background checks nationwide, programs include Houston Area Safety Council, DISA, Coats, LA Area and whatever other site-specific training is needed.
Ability to travel frequently- 30-50%
Physical
Able to do confined Space Entry
Ability to climb ladder cages
Capable of standing for part of the day
Able to bend and lift less than 15 lbs
