Let me tell you about the role!
Provide strong technical support to the Sales team using broad engineering knowledge and industrial market experience. Support field based and on site technical service requirements for customers. Develop and clearly document value propositions for new customer sales opportunities. Help protect existing business by addressing competitive threats and retaining customers. Take full ownership of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. Handle and supervise product performance from launch through its full life cycle. Drive new technical initiatives to improve solutions and processes. Build and strengthen technical capabilities across the region.
Key responsibilities:
- Show strong safety leadership and ensure high standards of HSSE are followed and maintained.
- Carry out field testing of new and improved Castrol Industrial products and services.
- Act as an expert in industrial applications for both internal teams and customers.
- Support sales teams in winning new business opportunities.
- Work closely with sales to deliver proven, efficient, and timely solutions to customer process and application challenges using structured problem solving methods.
- Develop and deliver high quality technical training for internal teams and customers.
- Build and share best practice case studies that demonstrate the value and benefits of Castrol
- Support broader business goals by participating in or leading projects aligned with the Industrial strategy.
- Mentor and train salespeople and engineers with less experience to build overall capability.
- Review and interpret Used Oil Analysis reports to support informed technical and business decisions.
Experience & Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Chemical, Lubrication, Manufacturing, or another related field
Experience
• Minimum of 8 years industrial technical service or sales or product development experience
• Must be technically savvy and experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite, Sales CRM (i.e. Sales force), and other sales/engineering related tools
• Expertise in Metalworking fluids and High Performance Lubricants along with related field applications across many customer market segments
• Strong value selling and external interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and understanding in sustainability (energy savings, water reuse, net zero, etc.) preferred
• Skilled in the use of problem solving techniques
• Must be at least 18 years of age; Legally authorized to work in the United States; and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (i.e. H1B, TN, etc.) now or in the future
• Conduct one’s self in a manner that is safe, ethical, and consistent with applicable laws and regulations, BP Requirements, BP Who we are and our HSSE goals as required in BP’s Code of Conduct
