To support this growth logistically, we are currently building our 10th distribution center in Lelystad. Construction is well underway and we expect the distribution centre to be operational in early 2027. Of course, that does not mean that we are sitting still until then. From our temporary distribution centre, we are already working a smooth transition to the new location.

As a Technical Service Engineer, you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the automated High Bay warehouse within our Distribution Center. You will work closely with the Technical Department, other departments within the DC and colleagues from other JYSK distribution centres.

  • Ensuring continuity and availability of the automation installations;
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance;
  • Solving malfunctions and structural errors in automation;
  • Identifying and implementing improvements and cost optimizations;
  • Thinking about and implementing new solutions to optimize processes;
  • Performing ad-hoc work if necessary.

In addition, you will always work in accordance with the applicable Health & Safety and fire safety procedures and actively contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

As a Technical Service Engineer, you are motivated to continue to learn and grow with our organization. With your technical knowledge and practical attitude, you actively contribute to improvement and continuity. We also ask:

  • A technical education or relevant work experience in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar;
  • Experience with or strong interest in automated warehouse systems (preferably High Bay);
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes (preventive and corrective);
  • Analytical skills and a solution-oriented attitude;
  • An eye for cost control and process optimization;
  • Awareness of safety and the correct application of PPE;
  • Proactive, independent and flexible work attitude;
  • Good cooperation skills and team spirit;
  • Willingness to engage in local travel and consultation activities;
  • You act according to JYSK Values and always lead by example.

Additional Information

Working in JYSK means building the future together. On a new distribution centre, smart logistics solutions and on your own development. In an open and down-to-earth working environment, you are given trust, responsibility and the space to make a difference. In addition, you get:

  • A salary tailored to your knowledge experience;

About JYSK

JYSK is an international home furnishing retailer with Scandinavian roots that makes it easy to furnish every room in any home and garden.

JYSK delivers a great Scandinavian offer for everyone within sleeping and living. We are a global retail chain of stores and web shops, and part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group.

Our founder, Lars Larsen, opened his first JYSK store in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1979. Today, JYSK has more than 3,500 stores in 50 countries around the world. 29 countries are operated directly by JYSK, while the remaining 21 countries are part of JYSK Franchise.

With thousands of stores across the world, there is often a JYSK nearby. This makes it quick to explore our assortment, and easy to bring products home. Online, we have room for even more products, and it is crucial for us to make it easy for customers to combine our great store service with our wide online assortment to give the best possible shopping experience.

This requires great employees, and our ambition is to be employees’ first choice within retail wherever JYSK is present. This means that JYSK must always be an attractive place to work, and that our employees enjoy the time they spend with us.

Although JYSK today is a global business, the company is managed based on its Scandinavian roots. This is reflected in our company culture and the way we do business.
