Job Description

Role Purpose

The position will be responsible for creating positive images of products, demonstrating value adding advantages of product to the customers and delivering high quality technical services to customers leading to increased product efficiency and reduced wastage

Main Duties

  • Provide regular technical advisory services to customers
  • Illustrate the characteristics and merits of products and better combinations of fabrics, machines, needles and other equipment to the customers
  • Make presentations to customers on our bouquet of products and services and build lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrate settings, adjustments of sewing machines to overcome breakages, puckering and other sewing related problems in the production floor
  • Compute customers production cost & estimated savings from new services & products.
  • Handle post sales maintenance & upgrade activities & ensure that any problems are resolved within standard time allotted for the nature of complaint.
  • Emphasized product features based on analysis of customers need & technical knowledge of product capabilities & limitations.
  • Achieving assigned order intake, margin and related objectives for the entire product portfolio.
  • Drives evaluation of potential new and existing customers and their needs and leads the team in a proactive post-sales approach with a focus on solutions.
  • Develops relationships with key customers and other decision makers. Also planning and implementing customer surveys, analysing and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Select the correct products & assist customer in making product selections, based on customer needs, product specification & applicable regulation.
  • Gather business intelligence, analyse market trend/ prospect to support formulation of sales strategies and plans for industrial business to assist sales team for effective sales forecast and to meet volume and value targets for apparel threads.
  • Running global projects to increase market share while maintaining incremental sales growth and profitability. Besides increasing market share, such projects enable us to neutralize competition threats and minimize our carbon footprints.
  • Recommend new promotional strategies, which are implement & contribute in increasing overall sales.
  • Actively participate in all H&S and Environmental programs.
  • Use appropriate PPE as designated area.
  • Report any safety or environmental incidents, including accidents, near misses, unsafe actions, and unsafe conditions.
  • Overseeing all activity within their team complies with the environmental policy and reviewing reports for further improvement.

Authorities

  1. Approve technical recommendations and troubleshooting actions.
  2. Validate cost-saving proposals and technical solutions

General Requirements

Education:

Minimum Diploma degree level (D3), preferably majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Textile/Leather, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. from reputed public and private institute.

Skill:

  • Should have the ability to work with a diverse groups of people
  • Understand and recognize customer needs and possess the ability to build up long-term value-added partnership with customers
  • Should be a good team player and an excellent negotiator
  • Excellent persuasion skill & a go-getter
  • Good technical knowledge & know how on apparel business.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to understand challenges.
  • Self-starter with good communication skills
  • Proficiency in English both speaking and writing.
  • Self-motivated and eager for improvements.
  • Strong initiatives, able to set the planning and priorities, and complete the task independently.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience preferably in readymade garments industry
  • Prior experience in apparel manufacturing / QA / Technical.
  • Prior working experience in technical or technical sales in another leading supplier, e.g.: sewing machine or needle supplier, etc.
  • Prior working experience in the sewing mechanics.
