We’re not your average design collaborative, so we’re not looking for your average Senior Job Captain either. We define ourselves as a collaborative because this is the trait that lies at the heart of how we work… Collaboratively.
We are thinkers and doers
We are visionary and grounded.
We are design-focused and results-oriented
We don’t believe design happens in a vacuum, nor do we believe in big reveals.
We believe the best solutions are co-authored, and that design is an iterative process.
We like dialogue and debate, and we believe everyone has a voice because there are never any bad ideas.
We put the customers (animals and robots included) at the heart of everything we create, which means:
- every design is created from a place of relentless curiosity
- we dive deep to inhabit the personas of our end users
- we pressure test our concepts against one metric above all others: have we exceeded expectations of those who experience the spaces we create?
We’re also champions for diversity as a design collaborative, drawing from all experience levels and cultural backgrounds within our team of “Bergies” – intentionally staffing project teams inclusively to represent the diverse perspectives of the world around us.
We tend to do our best work with those that feel the same way… Are you that somebody?
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic team member based in Boston that exudes positivity, approaches work with a collaborative style.

Since our founding in 1975, Bergmeyer has consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional design thinking, evolving from an architecture and interiors firm to become an omni-disciplinary design collaborative made up of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and brand strategists that create transformative experiences across market boundaries. Inspired through partnership, thoughtfully creative; driven by curiosity and boldness to fulfill the potential of each relationship; Bergmeyer is implicitly trusting of its people and process, celebrating a culture of inclusion and connection to a shared purpose.
Bergmeyer’s approach to design is empowering and ego-free, forming proactive partnerships with our clients and project teams to create a shared sense of ownership throughout the entire creative process. Unlike traditional multidisciplinary practices that pass work between silos, Bergmeyer integrates teams' thinking around everything from sustainability to architecture to branding to interior design as one seamless co-creation process. This process brings external subject matter experts, stakeholders, client teams, and the communities they serve directly into the design process as integral members of the collaborative team.
Bergmeyer designs for our clients’ clients, the people whose lives and experiences are enhanced by our work. Challenging our teams to focus first on understanding the end user - the customers, students, employees, visitors, and residents - while delivering on our clients’ vision and return on investment. Bergmeyer has offices in Boston, Los Angeles, and Columbus.
Celebrating Bergmeyer's 50th anniversary in 2025, this milestone achievement is further enriched by our recent certification as a B Corporation, joining a global movement of companies using business as a force for good.
