Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for ADP Workforce Now across consulting projects and recurring outsourced payroll clients.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex WFN technical and payroll issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system configuration and payroll challenges, coordinating with ADP as needed.
  • Advise internal teams and clients on system capabilities, configurations, and module interdependencies.
  • Support payroll-related projects and contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations, including strong technical expertise with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
  • Professional certifications such as ADP Workforce Now Certification and Payroll certifications (CPP or FPC), along with prior consulting experience, are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in the WFN Payroll module, including ADP AutoPay/CCI and complex payroll configurations such as special calculations, compensation structures, cafeteria plans, and FLSA overtime.
  • In-depth understanding of WFN module interdependencies, including Onboarding, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, and Reporting.
  • Experience supporting and managing vendor integrations, including insurance and retirement carriers, as well as API-based system connections.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex payroll and system configuration issues effectively.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and self-management, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and business impact.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy; proactively identifies discrepancies, resolves issues independently, and implements preventive measures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
