We are looking for a Technical Sales Support Professional to join Siemens Smart Infrastructure and help our customers navigate the complex journey of building management system (BMS) modernisation.

In this role, you will combine technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial acumen to develop solutions that help customers migrate, upgrade and optimise their building systems. You will work across the full sales process—from understanding the existing environment and identifying opportunities through to developing compelling technical solutions, proposals and migration strategies.

You will act as a subject matter expert in Building Management Systems, with a particular focus on digital solutions, Siemens technologies, migration strategies and lifecycle services. Working closely with customers, you will understand their existing systems, operational challenges and future requirements, then translate these into practical and commercially compelling modernisation strategies.

A key part of the role will be understanding the customer's existing environment. You will coordinate the collection and analysis of site, asset and operational information, conduct site surveys and asset audits, and facilitate customer workshops. This will allow you to assess legacy systems and identify the right migration, upgrade or replacement pathway, balancing performance, reliability, cybersecurity, maintainability and lifecycle considerations.

You will then turn these insights into high-quality technical and commercial proposals. This will include developing solution designs, scopes of work, cost estimates and risk assessments, while clearly communicating the value of the proposed solution. Your proposals will demonstrate not only the technical solution, but also the business case—including operational improvements, return on investment and sustainability outcomes.

You will work closely with Account Managers, Migration Architects, Service Teams and Operations to develop comprehensive migration and modernisation roadmaps. Building strong customer relationships will be central to the role, enabling you to support multi-year strategies and identify opportunities to progressively improve and modernise customer assets.

The role will also provide an opportunity to expand the value we deliver to customers through digital and lifecycle solutions. You will identify opportunities to incorporate remote monitoring, analytics, energy optimisation, sustainability initiatives and ongoing lifecycle services into migration and modernisation proposals.

You will support customer presentations, technical discussions and commercial negotiations, confidently explaining solution benefits, implementation approaches and business cases to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also stay across market trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies to ensure Siemens proposals remain innovative and competitive.

You will have experience in Building Management Systems, building automation, controls, electrical engineering, HVAC controls or a related technical discipline, together with an understanding of the challenges associated with ageing and legacy building systems.

You will be comfortable working across both the technical and commercial aspects of a sales process, with the ability to interpret customer requirements, develop practical solutions and translate technical information into compelling proposals and business cases.

Strong customer engagement and communication skills will be important, as you will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to develop solutions that align with operational requirements, budgets and long-term asset strategies.

You will also bring strong attention to detail and the ability to develop accurate estimates and technically compliant proposals while working within company governance, engineering standards, commercial requirements and customer specifications.

At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, we are helping customers create smarter, more sustainable and more connected buildings.

This role is an opportunity to make a tangible impact by helping customers move from ageing and fragmented building systems towards modern, digital and connected solutions. You will work with leading technologies and collaborate with a broad range of technical, commercial and customer stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve building performance today while creating a pathway for the future.

If you are technically minded, commercially curious and passionate about helping customers modernise their buildings, we’d love to hear from you.

As part of our ownership culture, Siemens also genuinely supports flexible working practices that empower our employees to balance work and personal commitments.

We strive to provide a safe working environment for each member of our diverse team and commit to continuously develop our ways of working on this journey. From our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan to our diverse cultural celebrations, LGBTQIA+ education and support to our gender equity initiatives, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive environment where every individual feels empowered and heard.

If you require any reasonable accommodations or adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.
