Position Objective
Serve as the technical-commercial specialist for the FSI portfolio of elemental analysis, radiation detection, monitoring, and dosimetry solutions, supporting business growth through consultative support to the sales force, channel partners, and end customers.
This position is responsible for identifying opportunities, understanding customers’ critical applications, recommending appropriate solutions, and contributing to business conversion across industrial, environmental, security, energy, mining, manufacturing, recycling, oil and gas, nuclear, occupational health, and critical infrastructure markets.
Portfolio Scope
The professional will be responsible for commercially supporting a portfolio composed of solutions focused on material identification, elemental analysis, radiation safety, environmental and occupational monitoring, contamination control, and the protection of people, facilities, and operations.
The scope generally includes:
- Portable equipment for elemental analysis and material identification.
- Solutions for metal alloy identification, material sorting, quality control, and incoming inspection.
- Portable technologies for rapid field analysis, including industrial, metallurgical, environmental, mining, recycling, and oil and gas applications.
- Portable instruments for radiation detection, measurement, localization, and identification.
- Solutions for monitoring areas, workplaces, people, objects, vehicles, cargo, and access points.
- Systems applied to radiation safety, contamination prevention, radioactive source detection, and protection of critical facilities.
- Active and passive dosimetry solutions for occupational monitoring of workers exposed to radiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical-commercial reference for elemental analysis and radiation solutions, supporting Account Managers, channel partners, distributors, marketing, applications, and service teams.
- Qualify sales opportunities by understanding the customer’s application, current method, expected response time, performance requirements, operational criticality, usage environment, and decision criteria.
- Recommend suitable solutions according to the customer’s needs, considering application, accuracy, portability, robustness, safety, regulatory compliance, productivity, and cost-benefit.
- Support customers in applications such as material identification, alloy sorting, incoming inspection, scrap analysis, quality control, PMI, mining, radiation monitoring, occupational dosimetry, and contamination control.
- Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, trainings, workshops, and webinars for customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
- Support the preparation of technical-commercial proposals, including solution configuration, accessories, software, services, calibration, technical support, and applicable contracts.
- Develop value propositions based on productivity, analysis speed, reliability, ease of use, robustness, operational safety, risk reduction, and compliance.
- Map and develop opportunities with technical and commercial decision-makers, including operations, engineering, quality, HSE, laboratory, radiation safety, radiation protection, procurement, maintenance, projects, and industrial management teams.
- Support the competitive positioning of solutions by highlighting technical differentiators, quality, reliability, support, service coverage, and fit for customer applications.
- Work together with sales and channel teams to develop pipeline, forecast, segment action plans, and expansion within strategic accounts.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, technical visits, safety events, channel trainings, and demand generation initiatives.
- Collect market insights, trends, customer needs, and competitive movements to support commercial strategy and business development.
- Support the technical-commercial post-sales process by connecting customers with applications, service, calibration, and support teams whenever needed.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or related fields.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation, elemental analysis, material identification, quality control, industrial processes, laboratory applications, or technical sales.
- Knowledge of portable analysis technologies, spectroscopy, alloy identification, PMI, or industrial applications will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of radiation detection, measurement, monitoring, or dosimetry will be considered a relevant plus.
- Familiarity with regulated environments, occupational safety, EHS, radiation protection, or critical applications will be valued.
- Experience in technical sales, application support, business development, laboratory work, process engineering, radiation safety, or technical customer support.
- Ability to translate technical needs into clear, competitive, value-oriented commercial solutions.
- Advanced English is desirable for reading technical materials, participating in trainings, and interacting with global teams.
- Availability for travel, customer visits, events, demonstrations, and sales channel support.
