Your Role:Technical Sales Specialist

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will provide critical technical support for the AHV product range, serving internal marketing and sales teams as well as external veterinary professionals and corporate clients. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement product strategies, including the generation of supportive data to drive business growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist technical knowledge on animal health products and diseases to internal teams, veterinarians, and farmers.

  • Investigate and resolve product-related inquiries or complaints in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Oversee clinical and marketing trials to support existing products and new product development initiatives.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, and industry opinion leaders to ensure technical alignment.

  • Contribute technical expertise to marketing campaigns and materials while ensuring all activities comply with Elanco SOPs and budgetary guidelines.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education Degree in Veterinary Medicine registrable in New Zealand

  • Experience: Professional experience working within small and large animal veterinary practices

  • Top Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical animal health aptitude

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Sound analytical and data interpretation skills

  • Proven negotiation and influencing capabilities

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with PromoMats or similar marketing sign-off platforms

  • Ability to manage resources and project budgets effectively
