Our FarmGuard team is known for building trusted relationships and providing practical, hands-on support that helps customers achieve better outcomes. We are now looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our North Island team and continue growing our presence across key dairy regions.

About your role

This is a remote, field-based position supporting customers across the North Island, with a particular focus on the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Central North Island and Taranaki regions, although the final territory will be shaped around the successful candidate's location and experience.

You'll combine technical support, relationship management and sales activity, working directly with dairy farmers and agricultural customers to understand their needs, provide advice and identify opportunities to grow the business.

The role offers a high degree of autonomy and would suit someone looking to establish or further develop a sales career within the dairy and agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow customer relationships across an assigned agricultural territory.
• Provide practical technical advice and product recommendations to dairy and agricultural customers.
• Drive sales growth through account management, lead generation and business development activities.
• Identify new opportunities and help expand FarmGuard's market presence across the region.
• Develop and execute territory plans aligned to sales and marketing objectives.
• Deliver customer presentations, proposals and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate closely with technical, sales and support teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
• Maintain accurate customer, pipeline and sales information within CRM systems.

Who are we looking for?

We're open to a range of backgrounds and experience levels. This role could suit someone early in their commercial career who has a strong understanding of dairy farming and is keen to develop their sales capability.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience within the dairy, agriculture or rural sector.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to managing your own territory.
• An interest in sales and customer engagement.
• The ability to work independently while remaining connected to a broader team.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout your assigned territory.

Highly regarded:

• Dairy farming, agricultural services or rural merchant experience.
• Agricultural or Dairy-related qualifications.
• Experience working directly with farmers and rural customers.
