Job Description

Technical Sales Representative - Sydney

Permanent Full-Time | $80,000 – $100,000 + Super

We are looking for…Hopefully, you! We're seeking a commercially driven, relationship-focused Technical Sales Representative to join our Sales team at our Sydney Head Office in Waterloo. This is a key role responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and contributing meaningful market insight to support Eco Outdoor's continued growth.

You'll work across both existing and prospective clients — understanding their needs, recommending the right product solutions, and seeing opportunities through from first conversation to delivery. This role suits someone who is naturally curious, commercially sharp, and genuinely enjoys building trusted relationships in a premium product environment.

The Technical Sales Representative's key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across target client segments
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Assessing client requirements and recommending suitable product solutions
  • Preparing and presenting quotations, proposals, and commercial terms
  • Negotiating pricing and contract terms within company guidelines
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market conditions and feeding insight back to the team
  • Recording and managing sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions accurately
  • Preparing regular sales reports and performance updates for management
  • Coordinating order processing and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Following up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues

Requirements

We need you to bring…

  • Proven experience in a sales, account management, or business development role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to understand customer needs and translate them into the right solutions
  • Commercial awareness and confidence negotiating pricing and contract terms
  • Solid organisational skills with high attention to detail in reporting and documentation
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to managing a client portfolio
  • Experience using CRM systems highly regarded
  • A genuine interest in architecture, design, or premium building products (advantageous but not essential)

Benefits

In return, we’ll give you…Perks, benefits and the space to grow. We offer a competitive salary, incentive program and the tools you need to succeed, including:

  • Competitive salary ($80,000 – $100,000 + super) with performance-based incentives
  • Laptop, phone and fully maintained company vehicle
  • The opportunities you need to grow, develop and craft a career you're proud of within the global Eco Outdoor business
  • Paid parental leave, so we can look after you while you welcome a new human
  • A 50% employee discount on Eco Outdoor products
  • Company-sponsored shenanigans and activities to connect with your team and the broader Eco Outdoor crew, from axe-throwing escapades to lawn bowls and trivia nights
  • A culture of unbelievable hospitality… hello in-house barista coffee machine
  • The opportunity to give back via our internal Social Housing and Sustainability teams

OK, you want to know what you’re getting yourself into? Let us introduce ourselves.
