Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable Technical Sales Manager to support electrical solutions for data center infrastructure. This is a customer-facing, engineering-driven role that combines technical depth with commercial impact.

The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical engineering background and has hands-on experience developing or supporting real-world power infrastructure solutions. This role is not limited to high-level solutioning — you will be expected to engage in detailed technical discussions and contribute to practical solution development alongside customers and partners.

You will work closely with sales teams and collaborate with data center operators, hyperscale customers, consulting engineers, EPC/general contractors, and equipment suppliers to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales teams to drive technical engagements and support opportunity development
  • Engage directly with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable electrical solutions
  • Contribute to and refine practical electrical solution designs, balancing performance, cost, and constructability
  • Support development of data center power architectures, including distribution systems and redundancy strategies (e.g., N+1, 2N)
  • Participate in technical deep dives, design discussions, and solution reviews with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with EPCs, consultants, and suppliers to ensure solution feasibility and alignment
  • Support RFP/RFQ responses, including technical documentation and solution validation
  • Act as a bridge between customer requirements and internal capabilities, ensuring alignment across sales, engineering, and delivery teams
  • Provide input to optimize solutions in terms of reliability, efficiency, and scalability
  • Consider and incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., liquid cooling) when evaluating overall infrastructure solutions
  • Engage in discussions related to grayspace/critical infrastructure, ensuring solutions align with hyperscale data center development requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in data center, critical power, or electrical infrastructure environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage principal‑level engineers professionally
  • Hands-on experience in developing or supporting electrical solutions (not limited to theoretical design) preferred
  • Solid understanding of data center power systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems preferred
  • Ability to engage with customer engineers as a credible technical counterpart, navigating both technical and commercial discussions preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting large-scale or hyperscale data center projects is highly preferred
  • Experience supporting bidding processes (RFP/RFQ) and working in cross-functional environments preferred
  • Familiarity with grayspace/critical infrastructure and hyperscale data center development
  • Ability travel 25% - 50%
